Description - Stretched across 100km, from East to West in the New Territories, the MacLehose Trail is well tugged away from the city within six very well managed country parks. From hills to shores, the trail will take you to many breathtaking places where you will see a very different character of Hong Kong - there are forests, wetlands, and beaches that are just minutes away from the city with well-connected public transport. The trail is divided into ten sections with various levels of difficulties, from service roads to ridges of hills. If this is the kind of Hong Kong that you have never heard of, then you are about to embark on a journey to discover the hidden treasure of Hong Kong!
This book will walk you through all ten sections of the trail with practical written descriptions, Transport, maps and pictures to provide a sense of what to expect from each section, including duration and levels of difficulty.
About the Author - Royce is a city dweller who can’t breath without hiking because nature means a lot to him. He studied forestry in Europe and have a longtime passion in biodiversity, climate change and public advocacy on nature conservation, which can be dated back to his childhood times - in Malaysian forests and later, chasing monkeys, rabbits and shrews in many parts of Asia.
